Marianella Blasini- Modern Visual Artist
"Creativity is always present in my life."
Marianella Blasini, a relevant emerging artist born in Caracas, Venezuela, resides in Miami, Florida, since the year 2016. Her parents are both from Caracas, of European provenance, the father from Corsica, and her mother from Germany. As an art lover, she began to study Architecture for a year, later changing to Graphic Design and to Sculpture for 2 years.

In 2012, she started to develop ideas on little girls' subjects consisting of wooden boxes covered by tapestry or painted by herself, always pointing out interesting facts about girls. Blasini likes the little girls' theme for the purity and innocence they transmit. This inspiration was later applied in the work of The Meninas, from 2021 cleverly designing on her computer to develop them in diverse depictions. Looking to merge her Contemporary designs with the Classical style that made her resulting artworks unique to Modern Meninas. The Meninas artwork is sublimated by a visual creative clean media and a defined work technique that also presents her life story. Her preferred technique is printing her art designs on metallic paper and using it as collage media. Marianella's focus on the Meninas is a passion, mainly because it derives from the 1656 celebrated painting The Meninas by Spanish Master Diego Velazquez. She reinterprets it as the design of degraded lines to achieve a unique self-made Kinetic Modernist style with a three-dimensional effect. Marianella Blasini joins in the Visual Arts with Master Diego Velazquez and also with the Meninas sculptures by Spanish Pop Master Manolo Valdes, who resides in New York and often has exhibited in Venezuela.
At Red Dot Miami Art Fair 2022, Blasini presents in our booth her extraordinary Artwork Menina XXII Blue and Black, made in January 2022, size: 48" x 48", technique/media: metallic paper and acrylic impression.

About her Art, Marianella says: "Creativity is always present in my life. The inspiration to make little girls and Meninas theme my main subject fascinated me for the innocent sweetness that you can appreciate in the expression on their faces. The Meninas painting by Velazquez created more than 300 years ago, still has a great impact on the Visual Arts. The little girl image with an enlarged skirt on her dress, used by the nobility girls of her time. My artwork 'Menina XXII Blue and Black' merges Classical with Contemporary Kinetic style and has a sublime, fresh presence that directly transmits today's Modernism."
